What you can expect

Experience a breathtaking morning from the basket of a hot air balloon tour over Avon Valley. Arriving at Northam Airfield in the early morning, you'll be greeted with hot tea and coffee as your pilot briefs you on the day ahead. You'll then head to the launch site, where you can help with the exciting process of inflating the balloon. Once everything is set, step aboard and prepare for a magical flight that begins just before dawn.

As the balloon lifts off, you'll peacefully float above rolling hills, patchwork farms, winding streams, and tranquil forests, watching as the world below awakens with the first light of day. After landing, you'll assist in packing up the balloon before the retrieve crew whisks you back to Northam.

Time
  • The exact time of your Hot Air Balloon experience will always vary.
  • We meet roughly an hour before sunrise (this means you will need to call our information line the night before to get the exact meeting time).
Duration
  • We fly for roughly 1 hour.
  • We recommend allowing 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience.

  • You will meet at 105 Withers St, Northam, before being transferred to the launch site
What To Bring
  • Wear comfortable clothing e.g. jeans and sneakers.
  • Shoes must be flat - no high heels or open toed shoes permitted. Waterproof preferable.
  • A hat/cap is recommended for the flight.
  • Bring a camera/phone to capture your own memories!
Additional Information
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Minimum fitness level required - passengers must be able to climb into the basket and stand for roughly one hour
  • Please inform the provider of any existing medical conditions before the flight e.g. back problems
  • Once confirmed, you will receive flight details and confirmation from the provider, it is your responsibility to follow this up if it is not received
  • Not suitable for people who are pregnant - Children must be over 6 years old
  • Hot air ballooning is a weather dependent activity, the pilot will confirm the weather the night before the flight.
  • No Wheelchair access, there is a step to help climb into the basket. You will need to be able to hold on to the handles for landing.

Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 7 days prior to your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
  • Tourists may be eligible for a cancellation
  • If your flight is cancelled, you have 36 months to reschedule your experience Should you need to reschedule or cancel your booking, certain fees may apply.
  • More than 7 days before the flight departure - a flight may be rescheduled without fees.
  • Between 48 hours and 7 days before the flight departure - a reschedule fee of $50 per person will apply to any flight rescheduled.
